Halle du verre

Accueil  >  Welcome

The site

In the heart of « Pic Saint-Loup »’s vineyards, the Halle du Verre is a unique site in France which recounts the glass’ history and its techniques from antiquity up to now, about 4 000 years of a singular know-how. An interactive course invites you to discover the origins of the blown glass, the Mediterranean glass’ trade during the Antiquity, and the local epic of the “glassblowers” from the middle-age to the French Revolution…

Since 2013, the Halle du Verre is member of the “Sites of exception in Languedoc”. This network gathers prestigious sites and tourist professionals who share the same quality requirements in terms of reception and cultural diffusion.
